There is nothing reader unfriendly about following the print with regard to the dollar sign, nor is there anything reader unfriendly about using w/. Arguments are also counterintuitive. The same people who want to save one cell by misrepresenting the print with the word with want to add dozens of cells with the insertion of a nonexistent dollar sign.
