[duxuser] six-dot graphics and eight-dot Braille--two questions

I use an Index Everest Braille embosser. Since its inception the Everest has been capable of producing four different kinds of graphics and also eight-dot Braille. Has anyone had any experience making either of these things happen? Does DBT ever produce eight-dot Braille? The six-dot graphics on the Everest are supposedly generated by some form of ascii text. Does anybody have any info on how this is done?
