Hi Fina

I'm thinking that you may have a mismatch between the DBT line length
and/or page length settings and those on the embosser. I have an
Everest embosser, which is from the same company as the Index Basic,
and with the Everest, there are a number of settings that can affect
the position of the braille (I'm assuming that the text itself is the
same in DBT and hardcopy, and that it is only the position of the text
that doesn't coincide). The first thing to do is to make sure that the
line length setting (including any setting for the left margin) that
you have set in the Embosser setup dialogue in DBT is set the same on
the embosser itself.

With the Everest, there is an option for the embosser to insert page
numbers, and another for the embosser to do reformatting of the
braille. If the Basic has these, they should be turned off if you are
using DBT, as should any option for Wordwrap. Beyond that, there are a
few other settings that you would need to check, but my advice about
those would depend on knowing what page format you are using (for
example, A4 page with 29 cells per line, 25-line page with 40 calls
per line, etc.)

Let me know if I can help further.

Cheers
Bruce
