HI Ann and all

Thanks for your reply. I have no other tab stops set so didn't think I
needed to clear anything first. What is happening is this. Here's what I've
got in the file
key sig [tbs10] [tab]key name[l]

Instead of the key name appearing in cell ten, it goes to the new line. If I
just press the tab key instead of doing [tab] there is just one space but
again no move to cell ten. For subsequent lines of the table, the same
happens. How do I get the second column to appear in cell 10 having set the
tab stop in the first line. Is this making sense?
Many thanks

Lisette

Hi Lisette
Did you enter the code [ctbs] before setting your tab stop? That will clear
the tabs that are already there.

Hi all

Can somebody answer a very simple question please? I'm trying to make a
simple table with two columns. I'm a bit confused about how to do this. So
far, I've set the tab stop for 10 using [stb10]. Then I pressed tab in
front of all the items in the second column.(It didn't work. What have i
DONE WRONG? i HAVEN'T MANAGED TO FIND IT IN THE HELP INFO ANYWHERE.

Many THANKS FOR ANSWERING WHAT MUST BE TO MANY A BASIC QUESTION.

Have a nice weekend.
Lisette
