Go into Coded view to see how the line breaks were coded on import. Then search for what ever code that was given for the line breaks. Replace that code with the paragraph code or 2 hard returns as you wish. Or you could define your own style to do exactly what you want. Once completed save your file, just in case. Then ALT+D to open the DOCUMENT MENU Then T to open the TRANSLATION TABLES list. Then choose FRENCH CONTROL+T to translate to braille and you will have Grade 2 French. (I do not believe that MegaDots supports Grade 2 French?) Both DBT WIN and MegaDots have their specific strengths and weaknesses. In the future there will be a new generation of software coming from Duxbury Systems, Inc. It will hopefully contain all the current strengths along with new functionality and abilities. I have files i want to read in a braille notetaker. The textfiles >only have line breaks at paragraph boundaries. I want to translate them >into braille with the latest DBTWin, then save them in such a way that they >still only have line breaks at paragraph boundaries, and later load them >into the note taker. I could use the notetaker's inferior translator, >except Duxbury should do better, and the files are in French, so that >really isn't an option, as I want to read them in French grade II >braille. So far, I can't figure out how to do this. Can anybody help? * * * * This message is via list duxuser at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxuser-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
