Steve save yourself a lot of time and trouble.
Update to DBT WIN 10.4 sr1. I think you will find better results with the
current product.
Likewise I am willing to bet that DBT win 10.3 does a much better job than
DBT WIN 10.2.

If you are technical enough and this is a big or recurring task I would
suggest you explore "pre-possessing" the file with tools such as SCRUB.

These are the types problems with evolving solutions.

Just a thought,

Subject: [duxuser] SGML/ICADD files from APH Repository

Hi listers,
We are having A LOT of problems importing textbooks from the APH File
Repository into Duxbury 10.3. The files are in SGML/ICADD format which is
supposed to "enable the preparation of texts for near-automatic conversion
to Grade 2 Braille" <ROFL>. The conversion is anything but near-automatic.
Many tags are translated to non-existent Duxbury style codes, and basically
the formatting is a mess. I've had to do extensive search and replaces to
get them to resemble anything anyone would want to read in braille.
Does anybody out there have any experience with these files? Any
suggestions? Are we missing something?
Thanks,
Steven Wasserman
