Three has ramped up competition at the low cost end of the mobile market by
launching a â¬7.99 per month offer through its digital only brand, 48.
The deal includes 100GB of data as well as all calls, all texts and 10GB of
roaming data.
Customers can also carry over excess data to the next month before losing it,
save 5GB for emergencies, share it with others, swap minutes for gigabytes and
donate data to a charity.
However, to access the new plan customers will have to sign up before November
10 this year and the offer is not open to existing 48 customers.
48 relaunched earlier this year with the aim of targeting the youth market that
other brands, such as eir's GoMo, had already begun tapping in to.
The development is likely to increase pressure on other operators to reduce
their tariff prices.
