Hello everyone and welcome to the spookiest meeting report. I'm Adrian,
your note taker for this Halloween tech club.
There are nine trick-or-treaters in the audience.
The meeting started with a chilling discussion about a possible opening of
the note-taker position, but it seems there were no volunteers brave enough
to tackle the haunted notes.
The script from sighted cinema proved to be as inaccessible as a ghost,
leaving us in the dark.
Moving on, there was a discussion about the Visionaire choir, and they
were so good it sent shivers down our spines. TG4 broadcasted their
hauntingly beautiful performance, and there's a repeat on Wednesday at 7.30
pm on TG4, for those who dare to watch it again.
Joe reported that the number for customer assistance in Heuston Station is
mysteriously unavailable. Adrian suggested trying different numbers, but it
seems Heuston Station is in cahoots with the supernatural: Heuston Station

Martina faced a time-warp dilemma with her stubborn Alexa. Cearbhall
suggested changing the time zone in the Alexa spp, but even Alexa was
confused. Adrian offered a spellbinding solution from a mysterious website
on how to change the time zone on Alexa. (

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app.
2. Tap on the "Devices" section, visible at the bottom end of the screen.
3. Choose the device on which you want to change the location.
4. Scroll down to the bottom and choose the "Location" option.
At the top, it will ask you to choose the country where you currently
live. Select it from the given list.
5. Once you do so, it will ask you to write your "Home Address." Carefully
enter the address, as it will be the locale where all your Amazon parcels
will be sent when you order with Amazon Echo or Echo Dot.
6. Click the "Save" option and scroll back to the "Main Menu."
How Can You Change Time Zone on Alexa?
Now to change the time zone on Alexa, you must observe the following steps;
1. Go to the "Devices" section of the app.
2. Choose your Amazon device and scroll to the "Time Zone" option.
3. Click it; select the Alexa device's current or desired time zone.
4. The changings will be saved automatically, meaning you can scroll back
to the 'Main Menu" without saving the information.
Adrian then cast a spell on us with the Citymapper app for navigation,
revealing it's fairly accessible. It offers turn-by-turn directions and
also has real-time information about public transport. He summons the
"describe unlabeled icons" feature in Andr... Well, that was an incomplete
incantation.

Tom inquired about Stuart's use of the Ulysses app for note-taking, and
Stuart claimed it's more magical than a cauldron. Unfortunately, it doesn't
work on Windows, which might make some wizards and witches unhappy.
This led to a heated discussion comparing Ulysses to Pages on Mac, with
Stuart throwing shade on Pages.
Seeing AI plans to implement a feature similar to Be my AI, but it's not
yet available for Android users. Ger revealed the developers are brewing a
potion to make it happen. Envision AI is also in the cauldron mix.
Adrian conjured up Ray-bay Meta glasses but reminded us they're not meant
for wizards or witches. Maybe Be my Eyes or Envision AI will work their
magic on them. He offered a video presentation link for the curious:

Ton found the Be my AI app spellbinding and wanted to know how to send
multiple pictures for processing, but it seems there's no magic spell for
that yet. Members agreed that a feature to upload multiple pictures would
be enchanting.
The discussion turned to the Apple Vision Pro glasses, but they come with
a price tag of about 3500 galleons. Adrian cautioned us about the perils of
being an early adopter of magical gadgets.
Tom mentioned that OrCam offered him a 30-day money-back guarantee with
the option to extend, a bit like trying a wand before buying.
Cearbhall used the Soundscape Community, but it had issues recognizing
crossings and took unexpected turns, like a broomstick on autopilot. Stuart
suggested contacting NCBI, part of the developing team, for help.
Joe asked if Soundscape Community was revealing the locations of bus stops
by magic, and Cearbhall confirmed it worked its spells by default.
Adrian demonstrated the Citymapper app, but his wand... I mean, phone, did
not fully comply.
Martina, in search of ancient tomes, asked about the Be my Eyes app.
Cearbhall praised its specialized support, and short text in Seeing AI was
discussed. Martina found it helpful for reading text on her TV while
freezing the image like a cursed spell.
Next, the meeting conjured up the topic of audio description. Ger revealed
that audio descriptions haunted the programs on Sky, but only about 8
percent of them. And audio descriptions worked their magic only on
recordings, not on downloaded movies. Channel 4 was the head witch in audio
description.
Michael asked about Netflix audio description, and Ger revealed that it
worked its magic on a fair number of movies. Stuart said Netflix was pretty
good, like a cauldron bubbling with entertainment.
A long discussion ensued on how audio description works, with members
sharing their magical insights.
Michel then brought up a new dictation button that mysteriously appeared
in the messages app, leaving us all spellbound. Stuart valiantly offered to
sacrifice his iPhone to test it.
Martina asked about sorting books in Audible. Stuart suggested using the
folder feature, and Cearbhall recommended using the filter option at the
top of the app.
The meeting ended with a spooky "Booohooo!", reminding us that Halloween
is just around the corner.
The meeting adjourned, with the echoes of ghosts and ghouls in the air!
