Hi all,
there is a handy feature in Windows 10/11 that allows better management
of your workspace. I know how frustrating it can be sometimes to lose
track of how many windows you have opened when you are multi-tasking and
not all the windows are related to those tasks so you have to keep
scrolling through until you find it.
Multiple virtual desktops let you open a clean desktop where you can
open different windows to keep them separate. For example, you could
have Outlook on a separate desktop while leaving Office Word running in
another virtual desktop. Alt-Tab in one desktop will only cycle through
the windows of that desktop. You get the idea...
To cycle to another desktop use Ctrl + Win Key + right arrow (or left to
move to precious desktop). Once on the new desktop, work as normal.
Switching the desktop won't close whatever you have open in it.
By default, you have 2 virtual desktops available but use Ctrl + Win Key
+ D to create a new one. Use Ctrl + Win Key + F4 to close it.
All the best,
Adrian
