Whatsapp puts everyone into a an announce list by default. Look for the =
chat group in that community. Others have done this alread.  This link =

Sandy what does your trainer say about the handle? Sorry if I'm using =
the wrong term. surprised you've had to get a new handle already. mine =
tend to last the lifetime of my work in Guide Dog.

Yes I'm on WhatsApp and a Guide Dog Owners group sounds good.  I'm =
also on two IO e-mail lists.  A WhatsApp techie would need to set it up =
though, not me, I only know how to use the App, not setting up groups on =
it!  And the same for the IO list.  Either sound good, but I do think =
that the e-mail list may appeal to others more, or maybe not!

  I had to smile at the thought of it being for a sensitive dog! Zyon =
is so not that! Mind you, it did get  me to thinking about our different =
dogs over the years and their different foibles.

  Chad (going down memory lane here) had a dramatic response to 2 =
stimuli, the first being if the handle of the harness was accidentally =
flicked forward, to land on his head! It was too light to hurt, plus, =
being a goldendoodle, he had loads of fluffy curly, hair, so was well =
padded, he would go down flat on the ground, no matter where! Hdidn't =
just lay down, he flattened every part of his body, front and back legs =
extended straight fore and aft! Doodles can do this, plus, on a slippy =
floor, the splits, with no harm done! He also did this whenever I =
sneezed. He didn't mind anyone else sneezing, just me! I remember him =
doing the whole flat dog thing up some steps onto the bus in Dublin, I =
had let go the handle, keeping only the lead, to sort out my pass, the =
handle got knocked, or, possibly, helpfully repositioned by a  well =
meaning, member of the public, anyway, he looked so bizarre  that he got =
a round of applause! While Zyon, who I say is the most unsesitive, =
physically, of all my dogs ever, has actually one response which is his =
alone and quite extraordinary. If you shock him, which used to be much =
easier than it is now, he goes up in the air. He reminds me of a deer. =
He goes up and backwards. He feels like he is floating away! I assume he =
is making little steps with his back legs, with his front legs held out =
to keep all threats away. Once he has done the "flight" mode, you can =
never get him to do the thing you were trying, before the flight, you =
either have to let that one  go or  have at it from a totally different  =
perspective.

  Dominique, do you consider Whatsapp as Social Media? It can be =
closed, so that only members can use it. It can be written messages, as =
with this group, but you can also send in voice messages or video =
messages.  I do have a facebook abbount, but very rarely visit it, so I =
do know what you are saying re social media, but, it would be possible =
to open up a whatsapp group for GDOs, at least, we wouldn't loose touch =
completely. The other option could be IO groups. I am involved in =
running a couple of these, they work in a way, very similar to this, but =
are limited  to 100 members, then it starts to cost. Now, I have no idea =
how many people are on this list, and even then, how many would be =
interested in sticking with it. The list has been very quiet of late, =
but I too would hate to lose you all!=20

have been sent a new one, a bit shorter than my present one, but it =

all fixed about 4 inches from the two harness arms. Does anyone know =

what this is for? It does unbuckle, but you can't remove it from the =

harness handle, because the leather strap has been rivitted  in =
place.
