For those of you going on the walk tomorrow (see below for details), please
bear in mind that there may be disruption on the DART line between Bray and
Grand Canal Dock as well as cycle lane works on the road between Fairview Park
and Connolly Station at theFive Lamps. Give yourselves lots of time and enjoy
the walk.

We will assemble at Connolly Station at 11.30am

Walk leader: Sean O’Brien
The schedule of the proposed walk in Newbridge Demesne, Donabate on Saturday,
14th October would be as follows...
1. Commuter train for Drogheda leaving Connolly Station at 11:50, stopping
at Howth Junction (12:00),, Portmarnock (12:05) and Malahide (12:09). Arrives
in Donabate at 12:14.
2. We will walk in the grounds of Newbridge Demesne for between two and
three hours, depending on what people want. Ground conditions will dictate
whether the walk will be on tarmac or grassy paths.
3. Those looking for a shorter walk can do some of the walk with us, then
retire to Newbridge House for coffee, etc., and we'll pick them up near the end
of the walk.
4. For those who want a more leisurely afternoon, Newbridge Demesne also
have tours of the house and farm (admission between €9 and €12.50, with
reductions for Seniors/Students).
5. As the Rugby World Cup will be ongoing, our usual post-walk venue at
Keelings pub in Donabate will probably be very busy. We can get a light lunch
in Cate's Cafe in the village, for anyone interested.
6. Return train times are 14:52, 15:12, 15:47, 16:42, 17:42, 18:34, 19:22
etc.
