I received this mail from the developers of Group sms app,
It shows that it is worth while in contacting app developers,
Will see if the u updates allow the app to work for me.

I will update Group SMS a bit and link against the new iPhone software from
Apple and I hope that will fix the problem you are having. (I did try your
suggestion, but could not reproduce it).
By the way, if possible try Group SMS on a newer model of iPhone. It could be
iPhone 7 is too old.
It will take a couple of days. Hopefully, I can upload to the App Store this
Tuesday.

Then normally you would hear text field is editing, and it will say insertion
point at start, here you should enter on insertion point at end, and normally
then you can begin typing.
But now, it does not say text field is editing, but says a aletter like j or
m, or whatever the cursor lands, and you cannot type, even when you click
return, to begin a new line, your unable to type.
Hope this helps you to replicate the problem from a voice over users point of
view.
