In this Level 2 Smart Speaker course we explore various features available
on Amazon Echo smart speakers and how they can be used to help people who
are blind or partially sighted. We cover how to use whisper mode and brief
mode on a smart speaker, finding and using step-by-step recipes, creating,
accessing, and sharing lists including shopping lists. We also cover how to
link a music service, playing podcasts/music, and linking an audiobook
service.

NVDA is a free screen reader for Microsoft Windows that is now used in over
120 countries and has been translated into more than 50 languages. Using the
power of NVDA means that people with sight loss can continue to be active

to the NVDA screen reader and would like to know more, this course is the

In this Level 2 NVDA course we explore additional features of the popular
free screen reader for Microsoft Windows. We cover working with Word /
WordPad, and the Outlook app for email. It includes how to create a short
document, saving, running a spell check, closing a document, opening a saved
document, and printing a document. We also cover how to compose, send,
reply, forward and delete an email.
