All makes sense (sort of) Adrian.

There is no conformity in these matters it appears.

Thanks,

Tony

Thanks, Tony.

Yeah, looks like Thunderbird works as said. It's funny, actually, we had a very similar discussion on IrelandVIPNews list.

Then, I guess the best is for people to just check the recipients before sending because it depends on the email client.

Cheers,
Adrian

Adrian, I use Windows 10 and my email client is Thunderbird with gMail.

Trust I explain correctly this time!

Hi Tony,

Not saying you're wrong, it might be the version of Outlook that you're using, but it's not working for me (Outlook 2021). It makes sense to behave like this as long as the emails are coming with an explicit Reply-To header set where the fb-exchange email address is specified.

All the best,
Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

using Win 10 when I hitt control and R my email would go to
whoever originated the mail (privately if you like) and control
shifrt and R would get the mail to the list.

Forgive me if I didn't understand your instructions.

        Hi all,

the way this list is configured, hitting either Reply or
Reply all will return your message to the list. This means
that replying privately to the sender would require copying
and pasting their email address into the TO field. Well,
there is actually a small difference in hitting the Reply
All button that would help with this. When you go this way,
the original sender email address is already in the CC field
in your composer so all you have to do now is to remove
fb-exchange address from the TO field. You might want to
move the address from CC to TO, but this is not really
        necessary...

Tested and working in Outlook. Doesn't work (at least for
me) in the Gmail android app. Couldn't test on iOS or Mail
        for macOS.

So, use Reply All to go in private. It is should be faster.

        All the best,
        Adrian
