Hi Jackie,
I know what you mean about understanding bills. I have taken some time to
understand my bill. With the smart meter, I now have 3 different charge rates
each day, from 9 AM to 5 PM, from 5 PM to 7 PM and from 7 PM to 9 AM the
following day.
The most expensive time is 5 to 7 PM.
My current problem with the SSE Airtricity website is that I am unable to
select the date range that I want in order to view the usage. It looks as
though there may be non-standard combo boxes for date selection on the page.
Or, perhaps, I am missing something. I will continue testing.

Hi Ronan
I'm with Electric Ireland. When I got my smart meter installed I registered on
the website and I'm able to read my bills and see usage. I just don't
understand what I'm reading only my bills are increasing.
I'm just using this on my iPhone 14pro as I created a shortcut on my home
screen for it.

Hi all,
I was speaking with Cearbhall about Smart Meter reading yesterday.
I have recently moved to an Electricity Smart Meter. Separately, we
installed solar panels on the house about 6 months ago.
My supplier is SSE Airtricity.
With a Smart Meter, you can opt for the electricity network AirGrid
and ESB Networks, to read the meter every 30 minutes. The results go
to a central database. Your supplier gets access to this central database.
Suppliers then provide customers with a website or app to read the
smart meter details.
I am able to monitor the solar panels via a app provided by the solar
panel company, StartSolar.
I am interested also to understand my electricity usage from the smart
meter at 30 minute intervals to understand the impact of solar panels on
usage.
I have just now been trying to read my smart meter details via SSE
airtricity.
I have logged on successfully to the SSE Airtricity website and was
able to download my bill as a pdf. However, so far, I am unable to
read the smart meter history. I have tried to download the
information both from a PC using Microsoft Edge and NVDA and from an iPhone
using Safari and VoiceOver.
Note this is a website, not an app.
The webpage looks for a date range to download usage history. It
appears that this page is not accessible to NVDA or VoiceOver, or if
it is accessible, I have not yet found a way to read it.
I will keep you updated on progress.
