Dominique,

I think another reason for this switch might be to help people who are using
a single Bluetooth earpiece as they jog around the park. One of the
motivations for the iPod is to use during sporting activities. A single
Bluetooth earpiece could not listen to a stereo output without losing part
of the sound so setting the mono "on" might help the quality of sound in
such an earpiece!
Cearbhall

All the best,

Cearbhall

Cearbhall when it was "ON" the sound was not as clear, and now that I've
turned it "OFF" it's actually clearer now. Each time though the sound came
through both earphones. I was just curious though and decided to ask the
Technology Experts.

I've turned it "OFF" and the sound quality is definitely better since!
