The only way that I know of reading a screen in segments (characters or
words etc) on my Iphone is by bringing up the rotor and moving around this
wheel in a circular movement to get to the various options.
Not sure if this option is available on the Voice Dream Reader but you
could give it a go and see if it works for you.

I am using the voice stream reader to read some study material. When I
select play the entire text is read. I need to be able to read the text by
line or by sentence, but do not know how to do this or even if it is
