Joe,
What device are you using Voice Dream Reader on? If you use it on an iPhone,
you can swipe left from the active play button into an area that Voice
Dream calls "edit" and hear you can use your rotor to read by line, word or
sentence as you would in a word document.
If you are using a Bluetooth keyboard with the iPhone, you have other useful
options related to VoiceOver and then on the laptop there will be others.
Essentially, you need to focus on the editing window just a few steps before
the play button.
I can be more specific if you state the computer, operating systems screen
reader and their versions. This information is helpful because many software
issues change with each version.

I am using the voice stream reader to read some study material. When I
select play the entire text is read. I need to be able to read the text by
line or by sentence, but do not know how to do this or even if it is
