the year. There is one area which we didn't get to cover in detail, which is
recognising your images with Seeing AI. There is a big uptake in this
feature at the moment, whether we like it or not images are a big part of
most people's lives. Have you ever been part of a WhatsApp group and
suddenly an image arrives, but you find you are not sure what everybody is
talking about? Because you don't know what the image contains. A solution
to this is using Recognise with Seeing AI.
If you are a VoiceOver user just double tap on the image and then tap on
share. Then flick right until you get to Recognise with Seeing AI. You might
have to flick to the right a lot depending on how many apps are on your
phone. If you want to get down to the Recognise with Seeing AI button
quicker try flicking up with three fingers. When you hear Recognise with
Seeing AI double tap on it, you will hear a little jingle and now your image
will start to process.
When your results comeback it will tell you what kind of image it is, for
example it could be a business card or a photo of a newspaper article or
just a photo of some people and scenery.
But it doesn't stop there, you get the option to double tap on explore the
photo and move your finger around the image to get more details and a better
idea of what is in the image.
Hopefully this makes some of those conversations around images more
accessible.
You can also practice using this feature by tapping on any picture from your
photo library, double tapping on share, and then flicking to the right and
double tapping on Recognise with Seeing AI.
