There is anew setting exclusively for Apple earbuds and headsets:
Go to Settings/Accessibility, Audio/visual and check the "Left - right
stereo balance" values. You may find that the right earphone is turned down
to 0.
There is another setting in Voiceover itself under audio that allows you to
dedicate speech to either left or right or both earbuds and separately set
the audio to either left, right or both earbuds.
Let us know how you get on with either of these settings.

I am using apple air pods pro. For some reason I cannot understand, the
right ear pod has stopped emitting any sound. I have been unable to locate
where in settings I can check the sound balance. Any help would be
