Hello Guys, Well the schools are back, it looks like Summer is coming =
to an end, and your minute take got pissed upon yesterday , taking his =
daily walk around 10.30 am.=20
=20
But on the bright side , we had some great sporting events to look at =
during this last week.
=20
There were 11 Participants for the Monday Dublin Tech club.=20
=20
Martin was first out of the blocks, as he had a big problem over the =
weekend.=20
His pc decided to install Windows 11 whether Martin wanted it or not.=20
He then got a message on his screen that his pc/Laptop had not got =
enough memory to install Windows 11.=20
In the meantime he could not use his E-Mail, as Office 360 had been =
installed.=20
He got help from the Labs team at the N.C.B.I. =20
They helped him to install the Apache open source mail app.=20
Martin got help from Adrian who said that , using the default e mail =
app on Windows 10, he should be able to have his contacts list transfer =
over from his G mail account.=20
Adrian supplied Martin with the following links.=20
=
<https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/where-are-my-contacts-in-mail=
-for-windows-10-e708d583-31c2-4eca-a188-8e69bad63bb3> Where are my =
contacts in Mail for Windows 10? - Microsoft Support

Martin wants really the following, that someone could help him to =
reinstall Windows 10 , the way that it was before this debacle.=20
Cearbhall suggested that he ring Microsoft BE MY EYES, as they can take =
charge of his computer and reinstall Windows 10 as it was, and if he =
needs help with his E mails that they can do this as well.=20
=20
At this juncture the subject of restoration was talked about. I used to =
use this feature a few years ago, where one can restore their pc or =
Laptop, to the most recent date before something went wrong. I have =
forgotten how to use this feature, but most of us agreed that it would =
be better is Martin used BE MY EYES.=20

Vera has a problem when using Google or Safari as her browsers, she =
cannot get past the privacy statements of the browsers.=20
She should get the options of accepting cookies, or declining them at =
the start.=20
But somehow she finds herself immersed in the privacy statements, and =
cannot exit. She cannot find the Next button to continue, or the back =
button to bring her back to the beginning.=20
=20
Adrian thought that she could not find or see these buttons, as Vera had =
the fonts magnified and her zoom was also magnified.=20
This thought Adrian was perhaps hiding those buttons, so Vera is going =
to bring the fonts and type size back to the default setting and turn =
off the zoom, to see if she could find one of those buttons, so she can =
exit from this situation.=20
She can go into the settings for Safari, settings, accessability and =
turn off magnification and restore to the default setting.=20
=20
Of course one could turn on Voice over, to read the screen to the end, =
and no doubt Voice over would call out back button or next button to =
continue,=20
So Vera would indeed know that these buttons are there.=20
=20
=20
We learned from our men Ger and Paudi, that free offer of 2 kilowatts =
of electricity via a number of solar panels is available from =
Electricity Ireland, Bord Gais and se electricity is available.=20
It seems too good to be true, but we will find out later.=20
=20
=20
Tom wanted to know how to set up Apple Pay, and received some good =
instructions from our man in Carlow.=20
He said that one can scan their card using the camera on their phone in =
the Wallet folder.=20
But you would have to put in the three digit card number at the back of =
the card manually.=20
=20
Adrian told us of his Plantronics headset, which was very good value at =
around 35=E2=82=AC
Cearbhall said when working he had the use of something similar, and =
Paul also had a Plantronics set with one headpiece.=20
=20
=20
Other items discussed was the Revolut card, and subscriptions for the =
papers, like Irish Times, and The Examiner.=20
Joe wanted to know how much a subscription for the Irish Times, Paul =
thought it would be around 14 or 15 =E2=82=AC
Adrian got it exactly it was 14.50=E2=82=AC for the monthly fee. =
That=E2=80=99s all Folks, except to thank Stuart for hosting the meeting =
today.=20
=20
Paul
