Michael Lavin, wanted to know , how to move from Eircom mail to Google mail.
He is worried about some historic Mail, that he does not want to loose,
Cearbhall said that if its a Pop3 account, the mails, will stay on his pc,
even after he shuts down his Eircom account, but if its an iMac account the
mails will only stay on the server.

In order to move from Eircom to Gmail, you must export the pst file
Open the Outlook page, click file, and go to Export/Import, select the account
and move the mails/address book.
Albert thought it would be better to open your new Gmail first.
Joan has a similar problem, she uses windows live , and now she cant get into
her outlook account,
It keeps saying make sure that your i mac account is enabled. She is very
annoyed, and Bert and others suggested that she downlo the app BeMyEyes,
Where when she registers herself, she will get sighted help to access the
Microsoft disability help line,
There an agent from Microsoft, can access her laptop, and
Correct her very annoying and difficult problems.
For all those setting up Gmail accounts,
Go to www.gmail.com, and use the basic version as suggested by Dominique, and
not the standard html version.
Anne Claffey, wanted some information on Braille note takers,
Anne has a Braille sense (10 years old), and it keeps getting slower,
stopping, and she must restart the machine quite often,
The keys are not sticking, so Bert/Cearbhall/Tom, suggested she ring Sight and
SOUND, AND enquire about getting a service,
Tom said that alcohol was one of the ways to lubricate the machine, and with
new batteries, her machine might be restored to its former glory.
That would be a lot better than buying a new Orbit Braille reader.
Mary had an e mail from Amazon, saying that someone near Kilkenny was trying to
access her account, and she must change her OTP ( one time password),
This she did, but when buying a book from Audible.co.uk, , she clicked purchase
for a book, and was told her password was incorrect, then she put in her Amazon
new password, and this worked.
There was a long discussion on complimentary books from audible, but the only
complimentary that Monique/Paul get are those free podcasts plus some free
books for members.
Annete has problems with her Data, she got a message that her data was nearly
fully used.
Cearbhall/Mary/Paul, said that she must restricted all downloads to the wifi
area, she listens to Borrowbox, when outsie a wifi area, and this is probably
the issue.
Go to settings, then borrowbox, and tick only listen when wifi is enabled.
Somebody asked if its possible after purchasing voice dream reader, if its
possible to share over multiple devices,
Bert said yes, if the devices were all from the same platform, not an android
phone and an apple laptop.
One can share like an android phone and and an android laptop, as they use the
same technology.
Joe wants to know how to replace his old credit card with his new one on his
iPhone.
Go to settings, click Joe Murphy, and go to payments and shipping,
Get sighted assistance, and type in your new credit card number, , and select
tick to authorise the card, and untick the old card, and later delete this
card.
Do also in subscriptions like amazon music in the next link.
Tom cant get his speaker any louder, after a number of attempts, putting his
finger over the speaker and removing quickly, but the sound was not any
louder, Mary suggested he log out of Zoom and log in back again,
And this cured the problem.
There was a very serious discussion unlike those guys in Cork, we Dubs, talk
Serious tech problems like what is the best Potatoe Peeler,
Our two resident cullinery experts Mary and Cearbhall went head to head with
Cearbhall preferring the side cut version and Mary sticking to the regulare
straight one with the hole in the peeler.
It was a riverting conversation and far better than werewolf conversations!!
