Thanks Cearbhall and Gerry,
I have experimented a bit and it looks as if using a headset is the
best bet. I can just about hear the keypad keys.
As you say, I need to wait for a gap in the menu speech to hear properly.
I have typing set to pulse so swiping doesn't seem to help my set up.
However, I managed to select a few options with voice mail so perhaps
with practice this is manageable.
