this is not an answer to your questtion but RTE have an app which I've
just discovered called RTE Radio Player and IMHO it's quite accessible.
There doing away by the way with the Radio 1 app this year.

I am having some trouble in launching rTe1 in the simple radio app.
I am using iPhone 14 and the latest IOS software.
Is anyone having this problem?
