It looks like officer inductions will be later in the month (of January) due
to officers being out of town and officials to swear them in out of town. I
am thinking the 16th if that is not too late. Rest assured that your
officers will be trained prior to that date. They take office Jan 1. They
are researching their roles in Toastmasters International as we speak. Some
officers stayed on and are already up to speed. Officer Training for
District 26 Denver, Urban, and another I can’t recall is Jan 4. We will be
ready to serve your needs.
Now to the important stuff. Off-white elephant party. I expect Pattie Apple
will start making this gel soon. Don’t throw away any of your “unwanted
presents”. You may want to repurpose them for the party. You can only
purchase a gift if it is from a thrift or second-hand store. All other gifts
have to come from the heart (or behind the couch). Please be mindful of our
precious eco-system and join in the recycling effort at Front Range
Toastmasters. Regifting or useful stuff around the house is welcomed. It is
written somewhere that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Please no
rooting through the trash for gifts. Look in the basement or attic instead.
