Greetings Fellow Toastmasters,
Toastmaster of the evening was our most wonderful Jeff Stoll. There were
twelve members and four (yes, four) guests. Theme was Christmas Trivia.
Why was Charlie Brown depressed about Christmas. One of the choices was
because his friend was in the psychiatric ward. Not the correct answer but
it was my favorite answer.
Highlights of the Evening
1. Ray Pezolt was our first speaker and he gave his speech on global
distribution network. Is something burning? 14.3 quintillion joules of
energy. Ray's Christmas speech has become tradition and it never gets
old. This was probably his best delivery of his speech ever. It was
outstanding.
2. Robin McIntosh gave his speech on: Is Concrete Hard? Best time to
pour concrete is in the fall because of the leaf patterns. Three things
are certain in life. Death, taxes, and cracks in concrete. I was the
third speaker and I gave my Ice Breaker Speech. Working in my Dad's Liquor
store, pillow case man, and Amigo.
3. Katelynn Pau was our table topics master. Dirk with Elves smell like
sulfer. Ashley our newest member (yay) with Christmas in another country
and Dan our guest wanting a Hot Rod.
4. Our General Evaluator was Pattie Apple. Bill Farrand with his
evaluation on Robin's speech. We don't DO concrete. We do math but we
don't do Concrete. Dirk was our Grammarian, really ouchy about that. Club
sandwich and five boxes of ornaments on a tree.

Final Thoughts for the evening:
Purpose of the recap is to relive the meeting and sometimes put in my own
perspective of the meeting to be entertaining and reflective. And of
course to entice the members that missed the meeting to wish they were
there. During Robin's speech, Robin had a concrete trowel in his back
pocket and he referred to it as "this bad boy". I've decided to reference
my favorite drill as this bad boy from now. Objects with really cool names
gives it so much more meaning.
My New Years resolutions are 1. Stop making lists. 3. Lose 1000 pounds.
9. Learn to count.
Our next meeting will be our White Elephant meeting on 02 January. Wishing
