Fellow Toastmasters,
Vacation is over. Children are in school. Most of the country is vaccinated
(most means over 50%). Time to get back to work. Well not conventional work. I
mean those of us who are retired want to stay retired so that doesn’t pertain
to us. Anyway, it is time to get our speaking skills hones and ready to make
advances in our careers. Opportunities are ripe. As your Toastmaster this
week, I need your help. I need confirmations early so I can reach out to fill
roles. I need you to start crafting your speeches for those who are speaking
and for those who might step up if the opportunity opens. The theme for this
week most likely will be “promotions or work advancement”. Think about that
next step in your career. We will discuss that next Thursday. I know someone
is close to a promotion. Let’s get them that job! Let’s sharpen our skills and
bring it this week. Looking forward to it!
