 Sure, if we don't get it ready in time, we should simply remove the fstrim
 command; it doesn't serve any purpose then anyway.

 Since I could reproduce the issue with VirtualBox, I created a debug
 version of it (that gives me more insight what ends up in the device), to
 see what is going wrong. But of course, I didn't manage to reproduce it
 with that version anymore. Maybe it only happens when doing a bit more
 before trimming.
