#11306: "package add" no longer works --------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: ttcoder | Owner: bonefish Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Kits/Package Kit | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All --------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by bonefish): Replying to [comment:4 ttcoder]: > Appreciate if that can be fixed, I have to do my builds by hand.. I don't think I'll get to do this anytime soon. Anyway, the best strategy to create a package is to prepare a directory with all package content and use `package create`. This also has the advantage that you can easily use `mimeset` to generate the MIME DB entries to include in the package. There's also `package update`, which is semantically similar (doesn't implicitly add directories, though) and, to my knowledge, does work. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/11306#comment:5> Haiku <https://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
