In hrev48148 I added a the error code to the logged error message. ATM the
only reasons I can think of why a package cannot be opened are that the
file isn't there anymore or that some resource in the kernel that is
directly or indirectly needed (memory, FDs (?)) is exhausted.
A new syslog output snippet would be appreciated.
