Ok, I am at my wits end.
I used GParted to remove all partitions, again.
I booted from USB and ran the Installer
Init an Intel Partition Map
Formatted the entire RAW disk
Ran the install
Install the boot code.
Still can't boot from HD.
How can it be this hard to install this OS?
