I've fixed the app_server to update the overlay hooks after each mode
change in r50063. However, I could not test the changes on a system that
actually supports overlay.
BTW: there is no need to add a "Hi", and "Bye" line on Trac -- it just
makes the comments unnecessary longer, and thus makes the ticket harder to
read. Your name is already in the header of any comment, anyway :-)
