Checked the singlehead modes from your last uploaded log:
- you reported that the shimmering mode 1152x864 works OK with this. But
you tested 65Hz, not 75: which is probably the cause for the difference in
results here.
- The 1680x1050 mode has the same settings as with dualhead mode, so is
more or less the same in results as well.
- You also tested one more singlehead mode: 800x600 in approx 57-58Hz from
the looks of it.
I'll get back to you with a testversion of the driver after checking
nouveau I expect.
