When booting from live USB without any input there is no syslog file on
disk.
I had to re-write the image and the screen is now showing colourful lines
(I'll add an attachment). The lines changes on each boot.
The syslog file was on the USB from a successful live desktop session with
the video firmware. The USB got corrupted later, so I had to rewrite the
image.
I'll try to re-flash with video firmware, install to HDD, reflash without
video firmware and see if I can get an updated log with the failure.
The output from the first message in the bug report was from the serial
port on the docking station. It's supported, but broke in some way. :-(
