OK, it does work, but takes almost a minute for the window to pop up.
Syslog has the following:
KERN: usb xhci 0: transfer error on slot 4 endpoint: stopped
KERN: usb_disk: acquire_sem failed while waiting for data transfer:
Operation timed out
KERN: usb xhci 0: cancel queued transfers (1) for pipe 0xffffffff9xdb7cf0
(2)
repeated manu times.
