#6331: [boot fail] can't find boot volume -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: warpdesign | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: - General | Version: R1/alpha2 Resolution: | Keywords: boot Blocked By: | Has a Patch: 0 Platform: All | Blocking: -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Comment (by fishpond): Please report your mainboard. I had a similar problem on a Gigabyte GA- EX58-UDR3 rev1.6. It worked in AHCI mode. After upgrading the BIOS to support the memory I used, it stopped again - now there was a new option "XHD/RAID" which does allow booting Haiku (but not into the existing Windows installation). Also make sure, your drives hang on the SATA ports serviced by the Intel chipset, many mainboards especially for Quad/1366 CPUs have an additional SATA controller. Maybe your CD drive is connected to that one? -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/6331#comment:3> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
