I have spoken to both Phil and Steve tonight at some length and Phil is very
remorseful about what he has done and has apologised. He says it won't happen
again.Steve is fine and trusts us to take steps to ensure things are now under
control.I have informed him about me bringing in a Happy Maureen or two on
Saturday afternoon to talk about the Fest. His biggest annoyance at the moment
is that he has a family commitment on Sunday and wants to come to the Fest. He
is hoping to find a suitable excuse to get out of the family thing.I will talk
to Steve again tomorrow morning to reassure him that the recent shenanigans
won't be repeated.Put this all down to a learning. There have been a number of
errors made but they only become mistakes if we don't correct them.Sarah I

Hosts - Huston, we have a problem I have spoken to Steve this afternoon and it
seems the final straw before he told us about this was Phil the bus last night
bringing in Ian of St Leonards as a co-host and not asking permission. The
first Steve knew about this was when he saw the Facebook listing of Ian sitting
in the big chair. His wife was also annoyed at the fact that Steve had to go
out while there were 8 people in the garden that she didn't know (Tonys
guests). Steve does not want more than 2 band members at any time on any shows.
He also wasn't told about Rick bringing his sons in.Whilst Steve is still, at
the moment, happy to have us there again, there is a real danger that his wife
will say following recent events she will put her foot down and say No, and he
has to honour her wishes as she needed persuading in the first place!Phil needs
to be told that he has put us in danger of not being invited back as it's him
that's posting random photos in the garden and basically taking
liberties!Steve-----Original Message-----From: Tony Bell

Hastings Rock Radio **Morning all,O.K. So we potentially have a problem with
our Host, Steve. He has made it known to us that there are too many people
arriving at the Studio that he has not been made aware of, while he doesnt have
a huge problem with this, his Wife, who apparently isnt a huge fan of Rock, and
also works very long shifts, is getting anxious about random people milling
around the Garden in and out of the studio.I dont want to go into long details
about the ins and outs of this, but, we MUST take steps to stop this now,
before it becomes a big issue and we arent invited back next year.I will also
be sending a message to the Facebook DJ group (Is everyone on that platform
Sarah? apart from Simon...) about this, but we will need to enforce a strict
blanket ban on ANY and ALL guests, UNLESS there is a justification for them
being there..Currently, I can only think of Specific helpers for Request shows,
St Michaels Hospice guests, the Odd band leader on a Sunday night...but this
shouldnt extend to friends, family or anyone a DJ thinks might be "good fun" to
be in the studio with. The Garden must also be off limits to everyone that does
go to the Studio, they are either In the studio, or leaving the Studio. Its
only a matter of time before photos and other facebook posts that we have seen
gives our location away, and then we are in bigger trouble....Anyone that would
like a Guest in the Studio NEEDS to contact either myself or Nick in advance,
who will, in turn confirm this with Steve, our Host, and he may well say No,
and we HAVE to respect this. This may also be an issue on the final night as
well, there are usually lots of people in the Studio at various times, but I
think this should ONLY be the outgoing, and incoming DJ for the 1 hour slots
(or whatever gets decided...) We really cant be using the Studio as a party
venue, thats in the Angling Club...Sorry if this sounds a bit drastic, but it
IS Steve's house, we ARE his guests, and this IS the Golden goose of a
location, so lets not muck it up in the first year...Happy to chat about it to
anyone....Keep rocking..Tony Bell
