Thankyou Jon If automation cuts in, it doesn’t freeze out the new stream
trying to come in does it? So if the new DJ doesn’t get it right first time the
DJ can still “butt” in It will just be a messy start to their show??

I will endeavour to translate....
Firstly, thanks for the jingle Tony I think that will be fine....
Secondly, at this point (given I was bogged down yesterday sorting out
getting the music out to everyone), having only just picked the jingle
up there's a lot of guesswork here....
The working premise I think is that DJs need to sign of promptly on the
hour. I don't think this will cut any audio off however there is
latency so I would expect their audio to be running out for 10-20s
after the hour. Tony's jingle will then kick in, there is vocals on
this for about 20s, it will then drop to instrumental for the remaining
40s. If that runs out, it will drop into automation. So the aim would
be to try and avoid that.
So personally I think that presenters should aim to start their show at
around 40s past the hour.
Ideally we need to try this first though. Nick I think still has a
couple of DJ's left to test, I will endeavour to get this slotted in
before than and then we'll see how it pans out in reality.
Either way though, you won't be able to guarantee the stream latency,
it will probably vary from person to person depending on what the
Internet is like in their neck of the woods.

i have spoken to Jon Bird and we have agreed the best way to Do This
change over is . ..
The DJ must finish dead on the Top of the Hour fade the track playing
and kill the Butt .
Next person on Butts in at approximately 30secs past the hour there
is 15secs lea way each side of this as music is still playing on the
bed ,
so you could butt in from 15secs past the hour to 45 secs past the
hour but this will depend on the previous DJ having an accurate
clock ,
so best to keep it at 30secs past to be safe .
This will all be in the DJ Rules that we are emailing out Tomorrow .

Haven't downloaded it yet but no that's not what I said. We
specifically need a short jingle then music for 20-30s which will
cross fade in when the dj comes in. Sorry if that got confused
somewhere.
