Hi all. Yes it is correct about copyrighted music but
We have used “for those about to rock. AC/DC” for T-shirt ads for years and Led
Zep “Rock and Roll “ for EOB parties A play on words “route 1066” along with
the music from that track might possibly push the boundaries a bit to far
though I feel.
Anyway are you scripting this ad Tony D ?? I will record it tomorrow evening
at Nick’s.
Last night schedule is something we can sort out next week I think That will
give us a chance to work out whether we are in lock down or not.
Perhaps use the line. “Retro shirts” or previous broadcast designs, or.
Hastings Rock Candy shirts to let people know they are not a new design.
BTW. I am currently trying to nail down a price and suppliers for reusable/
washable face masks with the HR logo on to sell. They are proving so far to be
quite expensive and Maybe to much for us to make a profit on If anyone had any
contacts please let me know.

Think we should change programmes on final night and probably should make it
clear in adverts that these are legacy T-shirts

I think it needs to be stated that these are 2019 t-shirts and not new ones
for this broadcast as you may get disgruntled listeners travelling to the
1066 Cafe just to pick up a shirt
Also I have now invoiced Hastings Borough Council.
Steve says it would be a good idea to change programmes on the final night
from 6 pm or 7 pm.

You need to be very careful about using copyrighted music in an advert.
Technically you’re not allowed to do so, or even use the lyrics for that
matter, as they are protected by copyright laws.
I’d avoid doing so.

** Hastings Rock Radio **
Hi y’all
T Shirts now at Route 1066 Cafe on A21 and they will be displayed at the
entrance to the bikers shop, the patches will be on sale behind the café
servery.
Suggest the following script for advert and would suggest that we try and use
a version of Route 66 as the music. The reference to get your chips on Route
1066 coincides with the sign outside the café.
Hastings Rock T-shirts and patches now available exclusively at the Route
1066 Cafe near Robertsbridge on the A21.
Get your shirts at chips at Route 1066.
I will ask Benjamin to create a link to the Route 1066 Facebook page on the
front page of our website. They know the prices and will let us know if and
when the stock is gone. I go in there from time to time so will keep an eye
on things and collect any monies that are due to us.
Doing something slightly different for local music show. Have today been out
to Broad Oak Studios and interviewed musician and record producer Harvey
Summers I plan to have two episodes each about 20 mins with music, one each
week.
Have asked Tina to send an invoice to Hastings Borough Council because they
have only now made it clear that we need to do that. There will be no problem
with getting the money so we should go ahead and advertise their support.
I notice from the schedule that we are not doing anything special for
closedown on the Sunday night.....should we. The way we closed the last night
in May was quite successful and raised a lot of money in donations.
Lastly when do we want the schedule put on the website?
Hope everybody is ok with all of that and looking forward to getting any
answers or comments.
