Things are going to get messy if you try that, you can't connect two sources
at the same time so you're down to timing it exactly when Simon stops his
stream, at which point Playout will kick in briefly till you pick it up again.
Key thing is to let SimonV know so he can announce it (SimonH suggested some
words) & finish cleanly.
I can manage the actual 2 minute silence bit here.

connect up for a few minutes to do this as long as my encoder remains ‘

Perhaps it just needs to play a file with 2 minutes of silence. That
way it will be playing something. If the file can be forced to play at
the start, before any requests, that would do it. Jon will know if this
is possible, I'm sure. It might need an announcement at the start
followed by the two minutes, then something like 'This is Hastings
Rock' to mark the end?
I am sorry this is such short notice but I was only reminded about it
by another radio station this morning.
