I wonder whether we can delete this paragraph:
"The complete waveform at the Rx algorithmic model output is the Rx AMI_GetWave
output waveform plus the output value of DC_Offset returned by Rx AMI_Init. EDA
tools may obtain the complete waveform at the Rx algorithmic model output by
adding the output value of DC_Offset returned by Rx AMI_Init to the Rx
AMI_GetWave output waveform."
since the same thought is already mentioned in the Definition section:
"The output value of DC_Offset returned by Rx AMI_Init is to be added to the Rx
AMI_GetWave output waveform by EDA tools to form the complete waveform at the
Rx algorithmic model output."
Regarding this sentence:
"The algorithmic model is responsible for determining the output values from
the AMI_Init and AMI_GetWave functions for the EDA tool to use during waveform
and eye processing."
It is not entirely clear what "output values" refers to. I suspect that it is
referring
to NRZ_Threshold being the output, but I think we should be more specific about
that.
What if we changed the above sentence to something like this:
"The algorithmic model is responsible for determining the value of
NRZ_Threshold from the AMI_Init and AMI_GetWave functions for the EDA tool to
use during waveform and eye processing."
This leads me to my next comment, when is this value expected to be returned,
in the Init
function, or the GetWave function, and if the latter, how many times? I think
we need to
add a few words on that too. I see the words "from the AMI_Init and
AMI_GetWave functions"
but they don't strike me as a definition for that's when the values are
returned, especially
because of the word "from" instead of "in"... Maybe we can just work on this
sentence a
little more to make it clearer...
