Agenda
======

1) Opens
2) Call for any related patent disclosures
3) Review of ARs:

Arpad: Send an email to the IBIS Open Forum with the recommendation to
schedule a vote on BIRD 157 and reject it
- done

Walter: Contact Fangyi and discuss the PAM4 related questions in BIRD 178.2
- done

Arpad: Go through the IBIS spec to find all language related to min/max data
- in progress

Any other AR-s?

4) Approval of minutes

5) Roll call

6) PAM4 related questions from the Editorial Task Group

7) BIRD 178.2 Specifying Buffer Directionality for AMI (Mike M.)

8) How to handle missing min/max data? (Arpad)
- what should be the governing rule for synchronizing
typ/min/max data?

Tabled topics:
==============

9) Enforcing LTI-ness of analog models for AMI simulations (Scott)

10) Discuss language corrections regarding "ground" (Walter)

11) Back Channel and Optimization proposal (SiSoft)
(Link training)
- update/discussion

12) BIRD 147.1 and co-optimization (Bob/Ambrish)
- issues with approved protocols? (Walter)
- look at what the requirements for back channel communications are
- does this BIRD satisfy them?
- decide on what ATM's recommendation should be on this BIRD

13) New Redriver flow BIRD (Walter, Fangyi)
- update/discussion

14) Buffer impedance / C_comp improvements (Randy)
- update/discussion

15) BIRD 128 (Radek)
- comments

16) Info, Out, InOut BIRD (Arpad)
- latest wording includes "in order to be compliant with this
specification, Model_Specific parameters ... must not ...",
and omits the word "simulation" so it's meaning doesn't have
to be defined
- questions/comments/discussion?

17) DLL error trapping and return codes (Greg Edlund)
- address the nasty condition where the DLL and tool crash
without a trace. The EDA vendor says, "I can't help you
because I can't see inside the model." The model vendor
says, "I can't help you because I don't own that tool."
The user is left with a non-functional model.

18) Macro models for power delivery

Pending BIRDs:
==============

125.1 Make IBIS-ISS Available for IBIS Package Modeling
128.2 Allow AMI_parameters_out to pass AMI_parameters_in data on calls to
AMI_GetWave
145.3 Cascading IBIS I/O buffers with [External Circuit]s using the [Model
Call] keyword
147 Back-channel support
157 Parameterize [Driver Schedule]
158.3 AMI Touchstonefile (R) Analog Buffer Models
161.1 Supporting Incomplete and Buffer-only [Component] Descriptions
163 Instantiating and Connecting [External Circuit] Package Models with
[Circuit Call]
164 Allowing Package Models to be defined in [External Circuit]
165 Parameter Passing Improvements for [External Circuit]s
166 Resolving problems with Redriver Init Flow
TBD New Back-channel/Co-optimization
178.2 Specifying Buffer Directionality for AMI
TBD New interconnect BIRD

Thanks,

Arpad
