(done) - Joe Abler to describe in more detail his fundamental concerns with this approach. - Anyone step up and start offering concrete proposals for the next meetings. (Kumar?) - Kumar suggested writing up the API architecture in a more formal way, so that the boundaries and partitioning of function could be discussed more intelligently. 2) Continue our discussion on the divide-and-conquer approach. The two general steps are: 1. Driver and Receiver analog behavior to produce the pulse response could be modeled with existing techniques. The existing IBIS specification may only need small changes (if any) to make this possible. Let's come up with a list of features that this area needs and IBIS doesn't have so we can address them with possibly writing BIRD-s. 2. The sophisticated behavior of circuits could be summed up as: - Receiver Equalization algorithms - Receiver Clock Recovery systems - Possibly adaptive FIR filtering for the Drivers I would like to focus in on the first point in this meeting in the hope that we can start making some progress.
