Ken-While the parameters in BIRD 123 are more convenient to use than Tx_Jitter or Rx_Clock_PDF and add new capability, they don't replace the Dual-Dirac, DjRj, or Table Formats for those parameters. We have encountered applications in which the Table Format of Tx_Jitter or Rx_Clock_PDF was exactly what we needed.
Hope this helps. Mike Steinberger On 12/19/2011 09:14 PM, Ken Willis wrote:
Hello all,Two items we would like to put on the table for discussion / consideration w.r.t. this BIRD:-Note to deprecate Tx_Jitter -Note to deprecate Rx_Clock_PDFIt seems both will be obsoleted by the new BIRD. Someone please correct me if this is not the case. Thanks, Ken Willis Sigrity, Inc. 860-871-7070 kwillis@xxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:kwillis@xxxxxxxxxxx> ------------------------------------------------------------------------*From:*ibis-macro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ibis-macro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] *On Behalf Of *Walter Katz*Sent:* Thursday, December 15, 2011 3:15 PM *To:* wkatz@xxxxxxxxxx; 'IBIS-ATM' *Subject:* [ibis-macro] Re: Jitter BIRD Draft 5 All, Getting the subject correct! Thanks to James, David and Fangyi for doing a detailed review of this BIRD.
