Review of ARs:

- Fangyi update BIRD 156 per task group feedback
  - Finished but not yet distributed

- Walter to write new BIRD for [Repeater/Retimer Pin] keywords.
  - in progress
  - In agreement with Fangyi

-------------
New Discussion:

Interconnect Task group report
- Discussed newly posted EMD draft 8
- Discussed early draft of what is now officially BIRD 161

Fangyi showed the updated BIRD 156:
- Fangyi: All "input" changed to "RX", "output" to "TX"
- Arpad: Where would this go into the spec?
- Fangyi: This would have its own chapter
- Arpad: That should be stated
- Fangyi: It is clarified that the flow is the same with or without GetWave
- Ambrish: That seems redundant
- Todd: This is close enough
- Fangyi: Numbers are now used for each section
- Arpad: It should be clarified that the triangle symbol is for the whole
model here, not just the analog portion
- Fangyi added language to clarify this
- More discussion about how the figures should look

- Bob: Can the redrivers be cascaded without channels?
- Todd: Being practical there will always be etch between redrivers

- Ambrish: In step 8 the analog waveform is the RX decision point?
  - We should be able to reference that term in the spec to explain what we mean
- Fangyi: A redriver may not have a decision point
  - I would rather call it the output
- Ambrish: It would be good to cross reference that spec section
- Todd read from the spec section
- Fangyi: We must avoid the term "decision point"
- Todd: We could refer back to section 10.2.3.2 step 8
  - There is not much risk in this
- Ambrish: What if people are not doing AMI simulation?
- Fangyi: We decided that Walter will clarify it in [Repeater Pin]
- Ambrish: They might try to simulate anyway
- Todd: The standard does not say what tools do with the information
- Bob: The spec will make it illegal for a redriver to not use AMI models
- Michael M: We can say this does not apply to legacy models
  - That allows us to define how those might be used later
- Ambrish: We need a line like that
- Bob: Should the [Model] have a keyword to say it is a redriver?
- Todd: The simulator must know:
1 Whether two pins form a repeater
2 Whether it is a redriver or retimer

- Arpad: I would like to see the statistical section
- Fangyi: This is one sentence
- Todd: We should discuss what "combined" means
- Arpad: "redriver can be calculated" does not sound right
- Ambrish: The full sentence says the "impulse of" can be ...

- Fangyi: A redundant section about flow was removed
