Call for patent disclosure:

No one declared a patent.

-----
Opens:

- Arpad has changed affiliation to Mentor Graphics

-------------
Review of ARs:

- Arpad: Review the new macro library files.
  - TBD

- Arpad: Write parameter passing syntax proposal for a possible BIRD
  - What is the history of this?
  - May have started when Ian was at Mentor
  - Created a "back door" way for EDA vendors to support old SPICE
with parameter passing using IBIS 4.1
  - Ian wanted parameter passing for all extensions, not just ATM
    - Ian willing to write a BIRD, but needs the ATM syntax first
  - IBIS can not assign value while calling module in AMS
  - TBD

- EDA vendors clarify "electrically isolated" in BIRD
  - Conceptual distinction
  - One part of circuit essentially does not affect others
  - Walter had suggested "high impedance path"
  - Assign to Todd
  - TBD

- Arpad and Michael get specific data on the non-linear behavior problem
  - Assign to Michael Mirmak

- Ambrish send draft AMI BIRD 1.0 for Mike to post on web site
  - Done

- Hemant will publish an open source reference model by Jul 17
  - TBD

- Ambrish include page numbers in AMI BIRD footer and revision table
  - Done

-------------
New Discussion:

Presentation by Todd: IBIS-ATM Model Validation:
- SiSoft is offering free software to validate API models.
- Page 6:
  - Arpad pointed out that ibischk doesn't check any [External Model]s
or [External Circuit]s, whether they are compiled or not
- Page 7:
  - Radek said that the man page document does not cover all issues.
- Page 9:
  - Arpad asked Todd to reverse the order of the first two bullets
    to match the pictures better.
- Doug asked if a reference RX model would be added.
- Todd will send Mike LaBonte a PDF to post.

Discussion of reference models and test plans:
- SiSoft will have a kit for distribution in a week or two.
- Source will be provided
- Source will be NOT be provided, but executable will have
 debugging symbols to enable debugging.
- By next week Cadence and SiSoft will have models that can be tested.
  - Cadence indicated that they also have a similar validation program
that they may share with the IBIS-ATM group.
- Arpad asked who can test models.

AR: Todd send IBIS-ATM Model Validation presentation to Mike
AR: Mike post IBIS-ATM Model Validation to website

Next meeting: 24 Jul 2007 12:00pm PT
