Hi all,

One of our alpha-testers recently bumped into this error while attempting to
install the new PyBERT v3:

Solving environment: failed with current_repodata.json, will retry with next
repodata source.
Initial quick solve with frozen env failed.  Unfreezing env and trying again.

It looks like Continuum let an unstable update to the conda package manager out
the door, near the end of June. So, if you typically keep your Anaconda
installation updated regularly, this may affect you, too.

This SO question
<https://stackoverflow.com/questions/57117855/conda-4-7-7-4-6-collecting-package-metadata-current-repodata-json-chann>
 has answers that should help you get conda stable again, until they get a fix
out.

Regards,
-db
