Amazing, I’ve never heard vo announce that at startup
Maybe check in system prefs under battery see if there is a setting

I was just wondering whether anyone could possibly tell me how to have
VoiceOver announce the battery percentage on the login window on Mac?
I have recently updated to macOS big sir however prior to updating, VoiceOver
would announce battery: and then it would tell me how much battery my Mac was
on at the time.
Does anyone know if this is a feature In macOS big sir and If so, is there
anything I have to do to enable it?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
