Hi guys, I am pasting a message I received this morning from someone who is seeking specific help. If anyone can answer his questions, please write me off list so I can respond to him. Thanks Hello John ! I am not blind but I have a question to understand some things better. I do many things in terminal and found out that I am very productive (often more then to use a GUI). At the moment I use tools like Mutt for email, Lynx to browse the web, vim to write text including TeX and LaTeX, gpg to encrypt emails, mcabber to chat using jabber including the off the record feature and so on. As I wrote a blog post in my static blog about to build this tools from source I came across a question. I see in Lynx in the terminal window where is text, where is a heading and where is a block of shell commands or some source code. But how works that or better how I have to write it, that blind people could use it in Lynx and with a braille display (don't know the correct englisch translation for it) ? How works it to translate a text from a terminal window to braille ? I know there was a function in Tiger which provides the option to select text in a terminal window over the keyboard - is this function still available in Mountain Lion ? I know that there is VoiceOver and it is great but I find there are so many great open source tools which people should use. I am happy if you could answer my questions.
