I hadn’t used the pages Word Processor for quite some time but will have to
look at using it again, Office 360 will only support so many Mac machines and I
have too many <smile>.
I reinstalled Pages onto one of the Mac machines here to test and refamiliarise
myself with the App.
I’m very pleased with the general accessibility and usability of the App thus
far but the big difference between Ms Word and Pages was apparent immediately
when I ran the Pages App, MS Word - for whatever reason - takes ages to load
and execute whereas Pages is fast and snappy.
I do have a question for those of you who may use MS Word and Pages, how
compatible is Pages in a MS Word environment? I mean is it easy to import
documents created by Pages into MS word and Visa Versa?
I’m going to keep work due to the cross platform compatibility - no Pages for
Windows unfortunately - but I certainly no which word processing environment I
prefer.
I won’t knock Microsoft, wasn’t all that long ago when MS Word was completely
inaccessible on the Mac so a reasonable job well done by the people at the big
M.
